1989-93 Research Project entitled, “Growth of Himalayan Tourism & Pilgrimage in Gangotri-Gaumukh Area: An Impact on Physical Resources and Economy”, Financed by Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India, New Delhi
1993 D.Phil with the topic, “Himalayan Tourism in Uttarkashi & Chamoli districts of Garhwal.”
1993 F.R.G.S. (Fellow of Royal Geographical Society)
1994 Published a book entitled, “Tourism in Garhwal Himalaya”, Indus Pub. Company, New Delhi.
1995 Successfully raised the plant nursery of Birch (Betula utilis) at Chirbasa, at an altitude of 3600 metres, on the way to Gaumukh, from where river Ganga emerges. Financed by Uttarakhand Seva Nidhi, Almora
1996 Successfully undertook the afforestation of Birch at Bhojbasa at an altitude of 4800 metres (on the way to Gaumukh from where Ganga emerges)
1996-2000 Project entitled, “Afforestation Based Eco-Conservation In Gangotri-Gaumukh Area”, Financed by G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment & Dev. Kosi-Katarmal, Almora, U.K.
2001-05 Project entitled, “Conservation of Bhojpatra (Birch) Plantation and Eco-Awareness Campaign in Gaumukh area”, Financed by G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment & Dev. Kosi-Katarmal, Almora, U.K.
1996-2003 Organized many Eco-Awareness and Garbage Cleaning Camps in Gangotri-Gaumukh Area
2004 Successfully conducted the experimental cultivation of medicinal plants -Kutki (Picrorhiza kurroa), Atis (Aconitum heterophyllum), Salam Panja (Orchis habernioides) and Archa (Rheum emodi)
